This year Ben talked me into being his soccer coach. I have never played soccer in my life. My only qualifications to be a coach is that I've been being a "soccer aunt" for the past 6 years since my nephews moved in with us, so I know the basics. It's enough to coach 3 and 4 year olds at least :-)
I have to say that I have, surprisingly, really been enjoying coaching. Our team decided to name themselves the Coconuts. It's a fitting name since I think they are all a little nuts (and I must be a little nuts to be coaching!!). We don't technically keep score in the preschool division, but we have managed to score some goals. Ben got his first one today and he was excited (almost as much as Mommy was!).
