First, a random update about the cereal thing. Ben enjoys eating the cereal and actually manages it very well for a baby just starting to eat solids. BUT, my sweet baby who has been sleeping through the night every night since he was 2.5 months old has woken up SCREAMING at least once every night since we started the cereal. So, after much thought, I think we are going to give it a few weeks before we try the cereal again. (So much for the whole "he'll sleep better if he eats something solid" theory that everyone tells new moms about!)
Second, Ben is developing the funniest little personality! Today he and my niece were playing a little game that had me rolling with laughter. Belle would lean down right in his face and touch his nose with her nose and he would then "yell" loudly at her. She would pretend he scared her and jump away from him, then they would both crack up laughing. This went on for at least ten minutes and my sides hurt from laughing at them. The game finally ended when she leaned down one last time and Ben grabbed her hair, pulled her close, and then put her nose in his mouth! She was NOT amused by that and was done playing pretty quickly. Ben, however, thought it was the funniest thing that had ever happened.
Last, one more funny Ben story for the day. My younger nephew, Drew, who is 14, came downstairs to get Ben to smile so I could sneak some pictures for Daddy. (When the camera comes out, if somebody isn't distracting him, the smiles disappear because Ben is studying the camera.) After we were done taking pictures, Drew started to walk toward the stairs and Ben started yelling after him! Not crying or pouting, but actually yelling. When that didn't work, he made the saddest littl frown face and burst into tears until Drew came back. As soon as Ben saw him again, he broke out in a giant smile. Can you tell this baby is the center of attention around here????
