Just a few new pics....

There's not too much out of the ordinary going on around here now that Nico is home. We've settled into a pretty good routine, and I've even ventured to the store with both boys and my niece once. We've also been out to lunch with my mom a couple of times, so we're getting used to the new amount of time it takes to do anything!

Here are a few newer pics of Nico! He is changing so fast already! There should be some way to hit the slow motion button to be able to really enjoy every single minute of his growth and development.

When did this happen????

Today it really hit me that my sweet baby Ben really isn't a baby any more. I know the exact moment when I thought, "Oh no! My baby is a big boy!" Will had gone out to run some errands, so Ben, Nico, my niece Belle, and I were just playing around at our house. When the garage door opened, Ben jumped up and went running towards it. That isn't anything unusual as he is always thrilled any time someone walks in the door. He started calling out, "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" over and over again. That's when it hit me. He wasn't saying the babyish "Dada" that he has used since he was just a bitty baby. He was sounding much more like a preschooler with his grown up "Daddy"! It's amazing how just that one little change in one little word made him suddenly seem so very grown up! I almost cried-both because it was so adorable to hear him calling for his "Daddy" and also because I realized just how quickly these precious 22 months have flown past. My baby is now a little boy-still just as sweet and wonderful as ever-but not really a baby. I'm both dreading and looking forward to the day when "Mama" becomes "Mommy", then "Mom", and probably eventually "Mother" before becoming "Mom" again!

Home, Sweet Home!!!

After 15 loooong days in a hotel, we are VERY happy to be home! Ben was happiest of all and has really enjoyed having all of his toys to play with again. Nico is settling in nicely and we couldn't be happier! He is just as sweet and content as Ben has always been and we feel so very blessed! Thank You, God, for our wonderful sons!

FFF-Love is....

Love is watching my wonderful, amazing husband with our sons. He is a great daddy, and I love him even more now than I did before our kids came along. I love how gentle and loving he is with our tiny newborn and I love even more to watch him play silly games with Ben. I'm so very thankful that my babies have this wonderful man as their Daddy!

Love is.... BROTHERS! It amazes me how sweet and loving Ben is to Nico already. It melts my heart every time Ben asks to hold him or goes over to Nico and rests his head right beside him. Ben may be a little jealous of the time Nico gets from me and from Daddy, but he also loves his baby brother and already tries to take care of him. That is love-being willing to share the most important people in your life with a tiny new baby and not hating the baby for his intrusion in your little world!

Love is.... GOD and FAMILY! And I am so blessed to have both in my life!

So much preciousness!

My life is soooo full of beautiful blessings with my two boys! They make me smile every day! Ben is adjusting to a new brother better than I could ever have hoped for. He always gives Nico kisses on his forehead and hands. He is super gentle with him and loves to sing songs whenever Nico fusses. It is just about the sweetest thing I've ever heard. In fact, it melts my heart and brings a tear of joy to my eyes to hear Ben's sweet little voice trying so hard to make his brother happy.

Nico is a very, very laid back and easygoing baby so far. He loves to be held and cuddled, of course! He very rarely fusses except if we have to stop at a stoplight while driving. That's when Ben sings to him the most:-) Last night he slept for 5 straight hours, took a bottle, then slept for another 3.5 hours! I love to watch him while he sleeps because he makes so many sweet faces.

Life with 2 boys under 2!

My life is overflowing with boys-and blessings! When we get home, I'll go from being outnumbered 3 to 1 here to being outnumber 5 to 1 with my nephews too! And you know what? I LOVE it!

Ben and Nico are both doing very well. Nico is as sweet as can be and loves to be cuddled. He is sleeping and eating well and is generally a very content baby. Ben loves baby brother and is, overall, doing a great job adjusting to life in a small hotel suite with a new baby on top of that! He is a bit jealous when Mommy or Daddy holds Nico (hence the pics above where Ben must be on our lap too!) but has been super gentle and sweet to the baby.
